What is the aim of this project?
The aim of this project is to showcase STEM educators who are providing a social good by livestreaming high quality STEM content on digital media platforms including Twitch and YouTube, so that they can extend their reach and continue to provide high-quality STEM education to a wide range of viewers.
Which streaming platforms do you support?
At present, we support the following live streaming platforms for our STEM educators:
- Twitch
- Youtube
If you feel that we are missing any vital streaming platforms, please let us know at enquiries.stemlive@gmail.com.
Why did you create this website when we already have websites for collectives such as The Knowledge Fellowship?
We created the STEMLive website because there are already quite a few STEM streamer collectives out there, such as The Knowledge Fellowship, BrainBytes and Live Coders, to name but a few, so this website serves to complement, rather than replace, those existing collectives.
We also felt that there wasn’t sufficient representation for STEM educators livestreaming on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube that do not belong to, and for that matter do not want to belong to, any of the streamer collectives available for STEM livestreamers.
